We had an amazing day on Monday at the Para Olympic Dressage watching grades 1b and II. We kicked off with the Grade II competition first where freestyle tests were ridden either in walk and trot or in walk, trot and canter. It was amazing to see people with differing degrees of ability ride such skillful and sympathetic tests. The horses seemed to be listening for every little instruction not putting a foot wrong. It was a wonderful insight into how well the horses respond to people, it really makes you realise how forgiving they are when we lose balance and perhaps have an unsteady rein contact. It was an amazing day for Team GB, one gold and one bronze.
